Position available: Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Immuno-Oncology

Job Description:
We currently have a postdoctoral fellow position available at the Cell Therapy Center (Yingcai campus) in the Precision Cancer Immunotherapy Laboratory. Some research will be also conducted at our brand new Shui Nan Campus. Both locations are equipped with state-of-the-art imaging technology. The laboratory’s focus is on developing and translating immunotherapy for the treatment of solid cancers. 

We investigate the anti-tumor efficacy of CAR-T cell immunotherapy against various solid cancers including pancreatic cancer, breast and lung cancer. To assess and monitor the expression of cancer targets for CAR-T immunotherapy, we isolate circulating cancer cells from the blood of cancer patients. We test the efficacy of our CAR-T immunotherapies in immunodeficient mouse models using patient-derived primary cells. To test additional treatments targeting the tumor microenvironment, we use immunocompetent mouse models. Our research aims at advancing our cancer immunotherapy protocols to initiate clinical trials.

Responsibilities of the successful candidate include working directly with the lab head to design, develop, perform, and analyze experiments; supervising technicians/research fellows; maintaining excellent laboratory records to write manuscripts.

Requirements: PhD or MD/PhD with a strong background in immunology and the desire to find a cure for cancer. Familiarity with gene modification of immune cells, advanced tumor imaging strategies, and an appropriate publication record are essential.
